Hurray for a Baby Sprinkle!

Yesterday at Linda’s we celebrated a co-worker, Reedu, and the newest (soon to be) addition to her family! She is expecting her second child, but wasn’t working with us when she had her first. When I offered to throw a baby shower at the office, she said she’d already been showered for her first… so how about a little “sprinkle”? I loved the idea! Our other co-worker and friend Britney and I got to work creating a theme, picking a date, and delegating tasks. It was a LOT of work… and so worth it. Reedu and our Linda the Bra Lady co-workers had such a wonderful time. We keep getting compliments – it makes me smile so much!

Have you ever thrown a baby shower at work? How about a baby “sprinkle”? Here are a few photos of our DIY projects, baking, set up, and from the party itself!

I designed a little invite to email to our co-workers. We decided on the colors and elephant theme based on a short survey we sent to the guest of honor. You're Invited to Reedu's Sprinkle via Hurray Kimmay blog

Britney and I made homemade desserts a few days before the party. Britney baked cupcakes in purple and teal cupcake liners, and made matching homemade frosting. I punched out little elephants from scrapbook paper and attached them to toothpicks to put in the larger cupcakes. I also made brownies with Oreo cookie crumbles using coconut oil. They were both a big hit! Making cupcake for A Baby Sprinkle on Hurray Kimmay Blog

We found the perfect wrapping paper and favor boxes for the theme. We also wrapped up a few baby essentials for Reedu to open for the Baby Bingo game. Wrapping up gifts and favors for A Baby Sprinkle on Hurray Kimmay Blog

Britney and I had a fabulous time with the balloons on the day of the party! They were so beautiful and it was so pretty out, we had to take a few photos… Picking up balloons for A Baby Sprinkle on Hurray Kimmay Blog

We set up the party the night before in our conference room. The space wasn’t very big, and was overrun by a large table. We moved everything to the sides, added streamers and decorations, and made do. I think it turned out great! Setting up the conference room for A Baby Sprinkle on Hurray Kimmay Blog

But we also had a veggie tray, pretzels, chips, iced coffee, grape ginger ale, and sparkling grape juice. Handmade desserts for A Baby Sprinkle on Hurray Kimmay BlogHandmade cupcakes for A Baby Sprinkle on Hurray Kimmay Blog

We played a Baby Trivia game using a PowerPoint presentation on the conference room big screen, Baby Bingo which I made and printed out myself, and a Guess the Due Date/Gender game which Britney drew! The blue circles are for a boy, and the purple are for girls. Our CEO, Carl, and his wife, Ryei, pop their heads in during the baby sprinkle. She stayed and enjoyed all the fun, but as the only guy, Carl opted to celebrate elsewhere ;) Peeking in at A Baby Sprinkle on Hurray Kimmay BlogBaby Bingo made by Hurray KimmayOpening gifts at A Baby Sprinkle on Hurray Kimmay BlogReading a card at A Baby Sprinkle on Hurray Kimmay BlogKimmay, the guest of honor Reedu, and Britney at A Baby Sprinkle on Hurray Kimmay Blog

Also… Reedu is a star! I needed a pregnant model for one of the latest Linda the Bra Lady Braducational Videos on bras for maternity and nursing, and Reedu graciously agreed to participate. Here she is, looking lovely and letting me fit her for fabulous pregnancy and nursing bras:
